1) Hot Oil Boiler
Boilers are the most important elements of the hot oil system. The hot oil boiler consists of a spiral-shaped seamless steel drawn pipe bundle and is designed as a three-pass system. The average speed of the oil circulating in the system is around 1.5-5 m/s. Since oil is used in the boiler, no corrosion or calcification occurs.
In the Hot Oil boiler, the combustion process is carried out by the burner and the heat generated as a result of combustion passes through the spiral pipes thanks to the smoke gases and is transferred to the oil in the boiler. The smoke gases that have completed their passage through the spiral pipes are transferred to the outside environment with the help of the chimney.
2) Expansion Tank
Expansion tanks are used to store the oil that expands as a result of heating. Oil expands when heated. Expanding oil causes system pressure to increase. If the expanding oil due to the increasing pressure is not controlled, the hot oil will burst from the weakest point of the boiler and cause leaks. This negatively affects the safety and operation of the hot oil boiler system. The tank designed to prevent this increasing pressure and possible dangers is called the expansion tank.
In addition, expansion tanks ensure that gas and vapor-like substances in the oil are removed from the system and provide sufficient static pressure in the suction for the pump to operate without cavitation.
The expansion tank is the only place where the thermal oil in the hot oil boiler system comes into contact with air. To avoid oxidation, the temperature of the oil in the tank should be designed not to exceed 60 °C.
3) Oil Reserve Tank
In the hot oil boiler system, it is the tank where the thermal oil needed by the process is stored.
4) Oil Deaerator Tank
The Oil Deaerator tank is used to purify the harmful gases in the oil to be used in the system.
5) Chimney
The hot oil boiler equipment used to safely remove the harmful gases resulting from the combustion of fuel from the environment and transmit them to the atmosphere is called chimney.
6) Boiler Circulation Pumps
The main purpose of circulation pumps in hot oil boilers is to ensure the advancement of the fluid used in the system.
