Datasheet
- The D Type Steam Boiler is preferred in applications where high pressure and high capacity are required. The design and manufacturing of this water-tube steam boiler are carried out in accordance with EN 12952 standards.
- High efficiency is achieved by integrating it with an economizer. In case of any tube rupture, only a very small portion of the water in the boiler rapidly turns into steam, so it does not create a major hazard.
- Since it has a large heating surface and low water volume, more steam is obtained per unit heating surface. It responds to rapid steam demands in a short time.
- When used together with the water treatment system manufactured by our company, boiler efficiency increases and the system is protected against damage that untreated water may cause.

What Is a D Type Steam Boiler?
A D Type Steam Boiler is a boiler type named after its design. This structure, which includes two water-tube drums (upper and lower drum) and a side convection bank, is configured in a layout similar to the letter “D”. With its water-tube design, these boilers provide efficient steam production under high temperature and pressure.Technical Features
- Structural Design:
- Its two-drum (upper and lower drum) configuration optimizes the steam generation process.
- Its compact structure saves installation space.
- High Efficiency:
- The water-tube design enables rapid heat transfer.
- It reduces fuel consumption and lowers operating costs.
- Modular Manufacturing:
- Its sectional structure offers ease of installation and transportation.
- Pressure Resistance:
- With high pressure and temperature resistance, it can be used in heavy industrial applications.
- Fuel Flexibility:
- It can operate with different fuels such as natural gas, coal, biomass, and fuel oil.
Working Principle
The D Type Steam Boiler operates on the principle that water circulates inside tubes and heat released from the combustion chamber converts water into steam.- Fuel burns in the combustion chamber and releases heat energy.
- This heat is transferred to the water inside the tubes.
- Water inside the tubes turns into steam when it reaches a certain temperature and pressure.
- The generated steam is used as an energy source in industrial processes.
Application Areas
D Type Steam Boilers offer a wide industrial application range:- Petrochemical Plants: Meet high-pressure steam demand.
- Power Plants: Generate energy for steam turbines.
- Paper and Pulp Industry: Used in drying and processing operations.
- Food Processing: Ideal for steam pasteurization and sterilization.
- Textile Industry: Provide steam for fabric dyeing and drying processes.
Advantages
- High Efficiency: Heat loss is minimized thanks to the water-tube structure.
- Flexibility: Its modular design offers capacity expansion and transportability advantages.
- Durability: Delivers long service life even under demanding conditions.
- Energy Savings: Reduces operating costs with high thermal efficiency.
- Environmentally Friendly: Can operate with cleaner fuels such as natural gas or biomass.
What Should Be Considered When Buying a D Type Steam Boiler?
- Indoor Space Dimensions: Models with compact design should be preferred.
- Fuel Type: A model compatible with your facility’s fuel infrastructure should be selected.
- Steam Capacity: The required daily steam production amount should be determined.
- Maintenance and Service: Brands that provide technical support and easy maintenance should be preferred.
