Liquid/Gas Fired Thermal Oil Boiler Equipment

Liquid/Gas Fired Thermal Oil Boiler Equipment

Thermal Oil Boilers are preferred by enterprises that need high temperature in the industry. Because hot oil boilers can reach high temperatures at low pressure values.

1) Thermal Oil Boiler

Boilers are the most important elements of the hot oil system. The hot oil boiler consists of a bundle of intertwined spiral shaped seamless steel drawn pipes and is designed as three-pass. The speed of the oil circulating in the system is around 1.5-5 m/s on average. Since oil is used in the boiler, no corrosion and calcification occurs.

The combustion process in the hot oil boiler is carried out by the burner and the heat generated as a result of combustion passes through the spiral pipes through the smoke gases and is transferred to the oil in the boiler. The smoke gases that complete their passage through the spiral pipes are transferred to the external environment with the help of the chimney.

2) Imbisate (Expansion) Tank

Expansion tanks are used to store oil that expands as a result of heating. Oil expands when it heats up. Expanding oil causes the system pressure to increase. If the oil expanding under the influence of increased pressure is not taken under control, it causes leaks by bursting from the weakest point of the hot oil boiler. This negatively affects the safety and operation of the hot oil boiler system. The tank designed to prevent this increased pressure and possible dangers is called expansion tank.

In addition, expansion tanks ensure that the gas, vapor-like substances in the oil are removed from the system and provide sufficient static pressure value at the suction for the pump to operate without cavitation.

The expansion tank is the only place where the thermal oil in the hot oil boiler system comes into contact with air. It should be designed so that the temperature of the oil in the tank does not exceed 60 °C to prevent oxidation.

3) Oil Reserve Tank

It is the tank where the thermal oil required by the process is stored in the hot oil boiler system.

4) Oil Deaerator Tank

Oil degasser tank is used for the purification of harmful gases in the oil to be used in the system.

5) Chimney

The hot oil boiler equipment used to safely remove the harmful gases formed as a result of fuel combustion from the environment and transmit them to the atmosphere is called a chimney.

6) Boiler Circulation Pumps

The main purpose of circulation pumps in hot oil boilers is to ensure the progress of the fluid used in the system.
